Complete Network, Inc. provides products and services to clients all around the world. Therefore, Complete Network, Inc. (including, but not limited to our PlatformGear and PlatformHost Divisions) has the responsibility to protect each client and to provide our clients with the best products and services available. Client is defined as any website visitor, customer, member, subscriber, or user of Complete Network, Inc.’s products and/or services (including, but not limited to, a person visiting any of our website(s) and/or online location(s) for which Complete Network, Inc. owns the domain name of, wrote the html code for, or otherwise has any interest in). The following guidelines have been designed to insure these products and/or services:
Content:
All products and/or services provided by Complete Network, Inc. may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any
information, data, or material in violation of any United States Federal, State, or City law is strictly
prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material that we judge to be threatening or obscene, unlicensed software or files, or material protected by trade secret and/or other statue. The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Complete Network, Inc. from any claims resulting from the use of the product and/or service which damages the client or any other party.
In addition, the websites, graphics, images, reports, and all other property that are owned by Complete Network, Inc. solely belong to Complete Network, Inc. Unless written authorization has been expressly given by those authorized to represent Complete Network, Inc., client may not print, reproduce, electronically publish, display, distribute, or make available to others any website, web page, web page content, web page text, web page programming code, programming script, graphic, image, audio clip, video clip, or any other item that is owned by Complete Network, Inc.
Complete Network, Inc. will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.
Unlimited Traffic/Hits and Server Resource Usage:
Complete Network, Inc. is pleased to offer our clients unlimited traffic/hits, and server usage. Unlimited traffic/hits is defined as the number of visitors to your website, NOT the amount of bandwidth/data transfer. Your account is still limited to the allotted bandwidth/data transfer included with your selected hosting package. In order to maintain the integrity of our service, the following traffic/usage limitations apply:
Sites with banners, graphics, or cgi’s running from their domain being used on other domains Sites with immense graphic archives or galleries Sites offering immense download archives, such as .zip, .tar, .ra, and .gz Sites running large chat room gatherings Sites using more than 20% of system resources
If you do not qualify for unlimited traffic/hits, your account may be required to be upgraded, or, Complete Network, Inc. may move your site to a different server to reduce the load on the server you are currently residing on. Complete Network, Inc. will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of usage limitations.
Bandwidth/data transfer will go unmonitored until you reach your account limit, then normal over-usage data transfer costs will apply. At any time, Complete Network, Inc. may move your site to a different server, to reduce the load on the server you are currently residing on.
Chat Rooms:
Complete Network, Inc. allows our clients to install their own chat rooms. However, chat rooms do tend to be large system hogs and may fall into the usage limitations’ clause. We do provide a html-based cgi chat room that runs without hindering the performance of the server that your account is located on. You are free to run your own chat script, as long as it does not hinder server performance.
Background Processes/Programs:
Complete Network, Inc. may allow programs to run continually in the background, these are considered on a one to one basis and an extra charge may be incurred based on system resources used and operational maintenance needed.
Cron Jobs:
Complete Network, Inc. does allow Cron Jobs to be conducted on our servers.
IRC:
Complete Network, Inc. currently does not allow IRC or IRC bots to be operated on our servers.
Multiple Connections:
Multiple telnet and ftp sessions are allowed on a single hosting account.
Idle Timeouts:
Complete Network, Inc. may disconnect any idle connection to the network. Average timeouts for FTP are after 300 seconds or more and after two hours for Telnet.
Spam and Unsolicited Email:
Spamming (or the sending of unsolicited email) from a Complete Network, Inc. server, or from a server contracted by us, or using an email address that is maintained on a Complete Network, Inc. machine, or on a machine contracted by us, is STRICTLY prohibited. For general reference, we consider spam to be any email that is sent to more than 10 people at a time and of whom did not ask for the said email to be sent to them.
Complete Network, Inc. will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. Opt-in email is acceptable, as long as Opt-out/Removal requests are fully honored. Please make an effort to limit outgoing mail on your account to no more than 5000 pieces per DAY and to no more than 20 pieces per minute. Many times we have seen sites push over 1000 emails in one hit. This causes extreme server loads and prevents other people from efficiently accessing server services while our techs adjust the server capacities. Large mailings are preferred to be sent from the hours of 11PM – 7AM CT. Sites with large mailing databases, need to be placed on a dedicated server or VPS platform (contact us for a price quote for these account types).
Server Abuse:
Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to a Complete Network, Inc. server, server contracted by us, or client of Complete Network, Inc. is strictly prohibited. Complete Network, Inc. will pursue legal action the the fullest extent for all abuse of Complete Network, Inc.’s Network.
Suspension/De-Activation:
If any terms or conditions are not followed, this will be grounds for account suspension or de-activation. Complete Network, Inc. reserves the right to remove any account without prior notice. If Complete Network, Inc. deactivates your account(s) for violating policy, you will forfeit your rights to a refund, and none will be given. There are no refunds for advance payments on deactivated accounts. The normal policy is a warning first, and account de-activation on the second offense. Serious offenses may cause immediate de-activation. Complete Network, Inc. will be the sole arbiter as to if and when an account is deactivated.
Website Building:
If you purchase a website building package from us (which indicates that we will be the builder of your website), the website building process will be considered finished when the first of either of the following events occur: 1) you no longer respond in a timely manner (within five business days) to email requests sent to you by your PlatformHost website building team regarding more information that is needed from you for your website’s content or 2) the period of thirty (30) days from the date that you signed up for your website to be built by PlatformHost has passed.
Complete Network, Inc. will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.
General Information:
The information we collect from you regarding your PlatformHost account, PlatformHost Plus account, or Complete Network, Inc. commercial account is used to customize the content and layout of our web page(s) for each individual visitor, used to notify our website accountholders about updates to our website (including, but not limited to: changes in features, techniques, website building tips, marketing tools, and other related topics), used by us in developing your inclusion into Complete Network, Inc.’s one-way link program for increasing search engine results, shared with other reputable organizations to help them contact consumers for marketing purposes, and may be used by us for marketing purposes as well. Complete Network, Inc. takes a very positive, action-oriented approach in making sure that our website builders have websites that are successful in terms of website features, ease-of-use for website visitors, and to make sure that each website is set up well in terms of meta tagging for search engines. In order to fully achieve these goals, you agree to receive the “PlatformHost Builders Line” e-letter which primarily focuses on website building and website development - and which, from time to time, may contain special offers that we believe are of interest to our members and clients. The PlatformHost Builders Line is considered a significant benefit of your PlatformHost membership.
If you supply Complete Network, Inc. with your postal address online, we will only use it for the purposes for which it was provided to us. Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers online will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed online or information that they have requested from us. We do not sell our listings of client databases to any other companies or organizations.
With respect to cookies, we use cookies to store visitors' preferences, to record session information (such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart), to record user-specific information on what web pages users access or visit, to ensure that visitors are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads, or to customize web page content based on visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends.
If you use the domain name of platformhost.com or platformhostplus.com within your website’s url, you agree that PlatformHost’s Management Team will handle ALL of your search engine submissions on behalf of your website(s). You will be responsible for making all meta tag entries to your individual web pages (including keywords) unless you specifically purchase one of PlatformHost’s Meta Tag Packages. However, you agree not to submit (to any search engines) any website(s) you may have that includes platformhost.com or platformhostplus.com as part of your website’s domain name. This is to prevent your PlatformHost website from being submitted to search engines too frequently as this could cause great damage to your search engine results due to search engines “black listing” your website for spamming.
With respect to ad servers, we try to bring you offers that are of interest to you, we have relationships with other companies that we allow to place ads on our web pages. As a result of your visit to our site, ad server companies may collect information such as your domain type, your IP address, and click stream information. For further information, consult the privacy policies of our PlatformHost advertising partners.
With respect to payments you make for purchasing our products and services, we offer several various payment methods and terms. Two of our payment methods allow for payments to be made by a check or an e-check. If your check or e-check is returned unpaid for any reason, you will be charged a $35 (US) returned check fee that must be paid before your account with us will be returned to good standing. We do not require any pro-rated amounts or setup fees up front in order for you to open your PlatformHost account. Thus, if you cancel your account within a billing cycle, your account will remain open until the last day of your billing cycle as we use an end of billing cycle cancellation policy. We also do not charge early termination or exit fees. While we try to notify each member when hosting fee subscriptions need to be renewed or re-established (and offer easy-to-renew email payment links), it is the member’s responsibility to make sure that his/her hosting fees are paid by the date due in order to avoid the temporary suspension of hosting services and related features. If your PlatformHost account is suspended, this will cause all of your other related PlatformHost features and services to be terminated (since it is a requirement that you must be a PlatformHost member in good standing in order to access and use PlatformHost features and services).
With respect to security, when we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information, such as financial or health information, we redirect visitors to a secure server, and will notify visitors through a pop-up screen on our site. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities
to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our website.
